7th Workshop on PIV

The seventh PIVNET T5/ERCOFTAC SIG 32 Workshop on Particle Image Velocimetry will be held at Lisbon University, on the 9th and 10th of July 2004. The 12th Symposium on applications of Laser Techniques to Fluid Mechanics will take place the week after (12th to 15th ) at the same place.

The aim of the Workshop is to develop a cooperative activity between the participating teams around the validation and the improvement of PIV. Topics of cooperation have been identified in the previous workshops. This list is given in annex. Each participant should complete the grid of his topics of interest and send it in electronic format to pivnet-sig32@univ-lille1.fr

Contributions to the workshop are welcome on the topics which are listed in annex. Each contribution will be 15’ including questions and will be limited to 8 viewgraphs. Each author will have to provide, before the workshop, a good quality paper copy of his viewgraphs and the corresponding electronic file in word or pdf format. Minutes including all the viewgraphs will be distributed one month after the workshop.

Registration :

Registration should be done by completing the registration form, the participant identification matrix and the grid of topics of interest and sending them to the same address.

Deadlines :

Submission deadline : May the 1st 2004

Acceptance : May the 15th 2004

Final registration : June the 15th 2004

Fellowships :

A limited number of fellowship of 500 EURO are available for ERCOFTAC contributors outside PIVNET. The attached demand should be completed and sent with the contribution summary.

Fellowship attribution will be announced with the contribution acceptance on May the 15 th.
